TL;DR: Switch from WhatsApp to Karl Konnekt (1-week, zero fluff)

Quick onboarding + migration guide for:

• Kangaroo Kaptns (you manage Hops in Kaptn Karl)
• Joeys (your clients join via Karl Konnekt)

Part A — Kaptns (setup once, then just create Hops)

A1) Important for iOS Kaptns (Kaptn Karl) open_in_browser

• If you use the Kaptn Karl iOS app: onboard on the web first at kaptn.karlkonnekt.app, then log in on iOS.

A2) Create your Kaptn (Kaptn Karl) assistant_outlined

• Open Kaptn Karl (web) → sign up / log in.
• Follow the Setup Wizard (it’s intentionally simple).

A3) (Optional) Set up payouts credit_card (mandatory for iOS)

• In Kaptn Karl: Profile → Details → Stripe Setup Wizard
• Follow the Stripe steps until it’s done.

A4) Create your first Hop event

(or do this step after onboarding your clients, so they'll receive those neat invites via push-notification right away)

• Create Hop → set:
  • Title
  • Date & time
  • Capacity
  • Price (free or paid)
• Location is pre-filled with your default/primary location.

A5) Share your Kaptn onboarding QR/link qr_code_2 share

Best flow:

1. Open your Dashboard in Kaptn Karl
2. Tap the QR-code / onboarding link
3. Tap Share
4. Share it into your WhatsApp group (or wherever your clients hang out)

A6) Post ONE bridge message in WhatsApp (then stop taking RSVPs there) chat

Copy/paste:

Hey guys, bookings are moving to Karl Konnekt 🦘
1) Install the Karl Konnekt mobile app
2) Open the onboarding link.
3) Then complete the short setup wizard — make sure you select me as your Kaptn. After that you’ll see my upcoming Hops in your Karl dashboard and receive invite notifications for new Hops (classes).

Part B — Joeys (join once, then you’re set)

B1) Start from your Kaptn’s onboarding link

When you open it, you’ll see:

1. Install Mobile App phone_iphone
2. Open Onboarding URL link

B2) Do the one-time Setup Wizard assistant_outlined

• Enter your name
• Set your location
• Confirm the Kaptn who invited you (shown in the flow)

B3) You’ll be Konnekted after the Setup Wizard connect_without_contact

• After you complete the setup wizard, you’re automatically Konnekted with that Kaptn.

B4) Receive Hop invites (push notifications only) notifications_active

• Once you’re Konnekted, new Hops from that Kaptn trigger push notifications.
• You can always open Karl Konnekt → Dashboard to see upcoming Hops from Kaptns you’re Konnekted with.

One-week switch (Kaptn checklist)

• Day 1: Finish Kaptn setup (web) + create your next Hop(s)
• Day 2: Share your Dashboard QR/onboarding link in WhatsApp
• Day 3–6: Help 1–2 people who get stuck (usually “install app → open link”)
• Day 7: Bookings happen in Karl Konnekt; WhatsApp stays for chatter (optional), not RSVPs
